2026-2027 The Psychiatric Physician Assistant Fellowship Application

A joint initiative of NYC Health + Hospitals (NYC H+H) and the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), the Psychiatric Physician Assistant Fellowship provides comprehensive clinical and didactic training to facilitate a successful career as a physician assistant (PA) specializing in public psychiatry. The fellow will engage in advanced training in behavioral health with the goal to strengthen clinical practice in service of patients with behavioral health challenges.

The fellowship will be anchored by four program components: clinical placement at a New York State Office of Mental Health facility, mentorship, behavioral health didactics and site visits, and a Capstone project. Finally, the fellowship will orient PAs to earn their CAQ in Psychiatry.
