Welcome to the H+H Peer Academy application! The H+H Peer Academy is a training program designed to prepare individuals to be eligible to work as peer counselors in a large hospital system.

In order to apply to the H+H Peer Academy, you must:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED/TASC (you will need this document if accepted into the program)
In order to complete this application you will need:
  • Basic personal information including an email address that you check regularly
  • A one-page resume of professional, volunteer, and educational experiences
  • Two brief letters of reference from people who can speak about your accomplishments
  • To answer these short essay questions: What does peer support mean to you? Tell us about any experience you may have with peers. Why do you want to work as a peer counselor? Why do you want to enroll in the Peer Academy? What are your long-term goals?

The information that you provide in this application is not protected by confidentiality rules. The information you provide will be used by NYC Health + Hospitals in the application review process.
